2. What data we collect and why

Account registration

  • Name, email address, password (hashed — never stored in plain text)
  • Business name, website, phone number, town, postcode, business type

Score check (free — no account)

  • Website URL entered for analysis
  • Score results stored in your browser’s local storage only — not on our servers
  • Lawful basis: Legitimate interest — to provide the free tool

Payment data

  • We do not store card details. Payments are processed by Stripe, Inc.
  • We receive confirmation of payment status and subscription tier only
  • Lawful basis: Contract — necessary to process your subscription

AI report generation

  • Your business details are sent to Anthropic’s API to generate your visibility report
  • Only the details you have entered are sent — no browsing data, no tracking data
  • Lawful basis: Contract — necessary to provide the paid service

Communications

  • Monthly report emails sent to the address you registered with
  • Service emails (receipts, account changes) as required
  • Lawful basis: Contract for service emails; Consent for any marketing

3. Our data processors

We share your data with the following processors under Data Processing Agreements:

  • Stripe, Inc. — payment processing (US — covered by EU-US Data Privacy Framework adequacy)
  • Anthropic, PBC — AI report generation (US — standard contractual clauses apply)
  • Supabase, Inc. — database and authentication (EU region — Ireland)
  • Vercel, Inc. — website hosting (EU region where available)

4. How long we keep your data

  • Account data: for the duration of your account plus 12 months after closure
  • Payment records: 7 years (legal requirement under HMRC rules)
  • Score data: stored in your browser only — deleted when you clear browser data
  • Email correspondence: 3 years

5. Your rights under UK GDPR

You have the right to:

  • Access — request a copy of the data we hold about you
  • Rectification — ask us to correct inaccurate data
  • Erasure — ask us to delete your data (“right to be forgotten”)
  • Portability — receive your data in a machine-readable format
  • Restriction — ask us to pause processing your data
  • Objection — object to processing based on legitimate interest
  • Withdraw consent — at any time, without affecting prior processing

6. Data security

Passwords are hashed before storage. Data is transmitted over HTTPS. Access to production data is restricted to authorised personnel only. We follow ICO guidance on appropriate technical and organisational measures.

These Terms govern your use of Aenima at aenima.co.uk. By creating an account or using the service you agree to these Terms.

1. The service

Aenima is a GEO and AEO AI visibility tool that analyses your website’s AI search visibility, generates optimisation files and provides monthly reports. It is operated by Technical Graffiti Ltd (“we”, “us”, “our”).

2. Accounts

  • You must be 18 or over and a UK-based business to use paid plans
  • You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure
  • One account per business. Do not share accounts
  • We reserve the right to suspend accounts that abuse the free score tool

3. Subscriptions and billing

  • Paid plans are billed monthly, quarterly or annually as selected at checkout
  • Payment is taken via Stripe. We do not store card details
  • Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled
  • You may cancel at any time from your billing settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period — no refunds for partial periods
  • Price changes will be communicated by email with 30 days notice

4. Hardship pricing

  • The £3.50/month hardship rate is available for 3 months on a self-declared basis
  • After 3 months the subscription reverts to the standard Starter rate of £5.50/month
  • This rate is intended for genuine hardship only. Abuse may result in account suspension

5. Free score check

  • The free score check is provided without account or payment
  • Results are indicative only and should not be relied upon as professional advice
  • We reserve the right to rate-limit or restrict the free tool to prevent abuse

6. WordPress plugin

  • The Aenima WordPress plugin is included with Pro and Agency plans
  • It requires WordPress 5.0 or higher
  • You install it at your own risk. We are not liable for conflicts with other plugins or themes
  • The plugin communicates with aenima.co.uk servers to generate and update your files

7. Acceptable use

You must not use Aenima to:

  • Analyse websites you do not own or have permission to analyse
  • Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape or automate the service
  • Misrepresent your business details to manipulate scores
  • Resell the service without an Agency plan

8. Our liability

  • Aenima provides AI visibility analysis as a tool — not professional advice
  • We do not guarantee improvements to AI search rankings
  • Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid in the 3 months prior to any claim
  • We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses

9. Intellectual property

All generated files (schema, llms.txt) are yours to use freely on your own website. The Aenima platform, code and branding remain the property of Technical Graffiti Ltd.

10. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.

Cookie & Storage Policy

This policy explains how Aenima uses browser storage and what data is stored where.

1. What we use

Aenima does not use tracking cookies, advertising cookies or third-party analytics cookies. We use browser localStorage — a standard web technology that stores data on your device only. It is not transmitted to third parties and is not accessible by other websites.

2. What is stored in localStorage

  • brd_u — your account details (name, email, plan, business info) to keep you logged in
  • brd_score — your most recent score result so it persists between sessions
  • brd_consent — a record of whether you have accepted this policy

This data never leaves your device unless you are logged in to a paid plan, in which case your account data is also stored securely in our database (Supabase — EU region).

3. Essential vs non-essential

All storage listed above is essential to the operation of the service — login, score results and consent records. Under the Data (Use and Access) Act 2025 and UK PECR, essential functional storage does not require prior consent. However we display this notice in the interest of full transparency.

4. Third-party storage

  • Stripe — sets its own cookies on the checkout page for fraud prevention. These are covered by Stripe’s own Privacy Policy.

5. How to clear your data

To remove all Aenima data from your browser, clear your browser's localStorage. In Chrome: Settings → Privacy and Security → Clear browsing data → Cached images and files. This will log you out and remove your saved score.
